Genuine output, sturdy, compact size, hard to align straight & included cables rather short

This folds into a very compact size, almost half that of the dual-panel 100 watt solar panel I use, the four panel design really tucks up small. What I didn't like was that the "W" shape of the folded panels needs to be snapped closed securely on bottom, because the weight of the two panels tucked into the middle will try to fall open and make this pop out in your hand while carrying it if you didn't get it snapped shut fully.

The carry handles are strong and feel good, they are rounded nicely and don't dig into your fingers. I wouldn't call this light if you have to carry it far, but moving around the camp or park isn't bad at all. Navigating among rocks and bushes on the trail definitely feels easier with less bulk to be careful of. My other dual-panel design solar panel I use tends to catch the wind like a sail while being carried and yank my arm out- this one manages to avoid that, which is a big plus for me.

Four folding panels do double the annoyance of this kind of design- trying to keep them all unfolded straight when they want to fold back up again. Getting this to sit perfectly straight and at the right angle took effort. These kinds of panels do tend to loosen up with time, but for the first few months they can be *very* stiff. You also need to be patient when it falls over and lift it up again fully, don't just grab the side carelessly to flip it. It can be tempting to be hasty when this falls over for the third time while adjusting it, but that kind of pressure on just one corner can crack the cells.

The included universal cable is pretty handy, you have a lot of options, but together with the panel's own MC4 cable it is still very short. For keeping the solar panel out in the sun and whatever you're charging cool in the shade you'll want to get an MC4 extension cable. I personally just couldn't get this setup anywhere that had enough sun and shade without one.

The zippered closure for the junction box stores it's own cords nicely, but if you do use an extension cable getting it in there too can be tricky, you might just need to keep that in your backpack on its own. If you only have one type of power station input to worry about you could probably just ditch the universal cable for an MC4 to whatever type cable in a decent length and be happier. I swapped it out for a 10-foot MC4 to Anderson cable. Just using that is all I need, and it fits in the zippered bag nicely.

I tested the open-circuit output of this to make sure it really produces 100 watts, and after some effort to get it angled perfectly I managed to read 5.14 amps x 23.4 volts = 124.9 watts, which minus an 18% or so drop under load = 102.4 watts, or there about. Right on the money. In less than ideal angles the amps dropped off by 1 to as many as 3, so as with any solar panel the angle is very important, but this can reliably hit the rated figure if you get it set right.

Left in the sun this does get hot, but it feels very rugged and temperature changes throughout the day didn't affect it's output. The light frame is easy to flip over in wind gusts, so be careful of that, but in general this sits solidly and never minded heat or humidity. I fully recharged a 288Wh portable power station in about 7 hours with this, so I was plenty happy with the performance.

Would I choose this again? Yes. It works very well and is quite rugged, the compact size boasts a lot of advantages that make up for the few disadvantages they offer. This did start out very stiff and kind of annoying, but I took a few minutes to lie it flat on a table and gently pre-bend the folds out straight a few times and it became flexible enough to work with. The included cables are semi-universal, but just way too short, and that's a flaw. You really should get an MC4 extension cord if you want to use this easily, but it's worth it because the panel itself is very good.

Effective but Flimsy Solar Panels for Portable Power

These 100W portable solar panels worked efficiently, charging my 88.8Wh power station in about eight hours. They come with various connection options, including an IP68 solar connector and a 3-in-1 cable, making them versatile for different power stations. However, I needed an adapter (5.5mm x 2.1mm to 3.5mm x 1.3mm) to connect the panels to my specific station. While setup is simple, the panels feel slightly flimsy, and theres no secure mechanism for holding them together when folded. For performance, theyre solid, but durability could be improved. Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the panels. I should get three years service with them.

    Versatile and Well-Designed Cable System

One of the standout features of the Nurzviy 100W panel is the connection cable and adapters. The cable is great for flexibility, and the set of 1-meter solar charging connection cable and 1-meter adapter cable adapters allows easy compatibility with a wide range of solar generators. Overall, this panel is an excellent buy for anyone looking for versatility and reliability!

A solid panel with just a few minor misses

100 watt solar panels that are portable are all over the place and this one would rank near the top.

Good: Sturdy build all around. The panels are pretty stiff and the joints feel like they will hold up. The kickstands are better than most as you can get a lower angle and the stretchy fabric design works very well. The handles are large, magnetic and feel good in the hand. The entire unit folds up well with enough snaps to keep it closed. It comes with a great adapter for most portable units. I've never seen an "aviation" plug before. This is like a 20 second set up and install. Unfold, kickstands, plug in. It's light enough to pack and small enough not to take up much room, although the handle does take up a lot of real estate.

Slight misses: No usb ports on the panel. I miss those as you can charge your phone without any other parts like a power unit. Kind of important. No bag. I do enjoy a bag to keep the solar panel and this didn't come with one. Mostly to keep the dust out. Not a big deal at all. I wish it had more grommet holes as sometimes I just hang this off a vehicle instead of setting up. Not a big deal.

The pocket is sized very well and it's easy to put the cords and adapter back in with room to spare. It's IP67 so you can leave it out in the rain and the connectors are inside the pocket for a bit of extra protection from the elements.

I got mostly high 60's watts in Oct during the late afternoon, which would be low for a 100 watt panel, but I then tested another panel and it performed at the same percentage level so I am pretty sure this will get to 78-80 watts - at least - under more optimum conditions. I'll continue to test it.

Overall: This company makes a few solar products and that usually makes me feel better about the product. This is a nicely made, good performing panel with an excellent adapter plug. The kickstands are better than most, and the pocket is generous. I can recommend this panel.

Portable, rigid, folding 100w panel with multiple connector options

    "- Very portable
    - Folds tightly
    - Kickstand legs
    - Many connectors in attached accessory pouch (so they won't get lost)
    - Snaps to hold the panel and legs closed when not in use

The panel has a lot of memory when first opened so it can be hard to get it to stay open at first. It will relax over time and become easier to use. Moderate sunlight, I'm measuring 22volts at 1AMP. I expect it will do better on a better sunny day but it is able to produce power when slightly overcast.
