Solar Panels

It’s completely normal for portable and flexible solar panels to produce less than their maximum rated wattage during real-world use. The rated power is measured under Standard Test Conditions (STC) in a controlled environment. Outdoor conditions vary, so the output will naturally differ. Here are the main factors:

1. Sunlight Intensity

Solar panels reach peak output only under strong, direct sunlight. Clouds, haze, and seasonal sun angles reduce power.

2. Panel Angle & Placement

For best results, the panel should face the sun directly and be adjusted throughout the day. Even a slight angle difference affects wattage.

3. Temperature

High temperatures reduce solar cell efficiency. On very hot days, output may drop.

4. Shading & Obstruction

Even partial shading from trees, buildings, or the panel frame can lower performance.

5. Charging Device Limitations

Some power stations or devices limit input wattage, so the panel may not reach its full output even if capable.

6. Cable Length & Connection Losses

Voltage drop can occur with long cables or loose connections.
In most cases, it is not recommended to mix Nurzviy panels with other brands in series or parallel.

Different panels often have different voltage, current, and wattage ratings. When mixed together, the system will only perform at the level of the lowest-rated panel, which can reduce efficiency and may cause imbalance, overheating, or damage to the controller or panels.

If you need to expand your system, we recommend using panels with the same voltage, current, and specifications to ensure safe and optimal performance.

For a detailed guide on how series and parallel connections work — and how to do them correctly — check out our blog post: Parallel vs Series Connection: How to Connect Your Solar Panels the Right Way.
Our Nurzviy panels — for example, the Nurzviy 400 W Portable Solar Panel and other models — are designed to be compatible with most portable power stations on the market.

The output voltages and currents that match many power station input ranges (for example, the 400 W panel has a maximum power point voltage of ~36 V, with an open-circuit voltage of ~40.8 V).

Nurzviy solar panels include a multi-adapter 4-in-1 cable with common connector types: Anderson, XT60, DC5521, DC7909 (8 mm), and Aviation M16.

Nurzviy solar panels support lithium-ion batteries, sealed lead-acid batteries, and many portable power stations.

For example, the Nurzviy solar panels are compatible with popular power stations like the EcoFlow Delta / River and Jackery Explorer series (as long as the input voltage and connector type match) — but you should always check:

1. The solar input voltage range of your power station, and

2. The maximum solar input wattage your power station allows.

If you tell me which power station you’re using (brand and model), we can double-check whether our panels are compatible.
